10 Beautiful Hiking Trail Views in Southern Ontario

Southern Ontario is home to great hiking trails and with that, beautiful views that you must see when exploring the southern part of the province. I’ve shared lists of my favourite hiking trails in Southern Ontario but I also wanted to share my favourite views/lookouts so that you know where to find them! I hope you enjoy my list of beautiful hiking trail views in southern Ontario.

Spencer Gorge Conservation Area – Dundas Peak

One of the most infamous views in southern Ontario is a spot called Dundas Peak. You’ll find this jaw-dropping view of the Dundas Valley along a trail in the Spencer Gorge Conservation Area in Hamilton. Dundas Peak is especially popular in the fall – you can see why in my photos below!

Rockwood Conservation Area – Cedar Ridge Trail

I was pleasantly surprised to find the cliff-top lookout along the Cedar Ridge Trail in Rockwood Conservation Area. The views of the Eramosa River are stunning. Rockwood Conservation Area is in Rockwood, Ontario and I highly recommend visiting!

Scarborough Crescent Park

Another well known view in southern Ontario is from the Scarborough Bluffs. Visit Scarborough Crescent Park to see the stunning views of Lake Ontario and the sandy Bluffs. I couldn’t believe how turquoise the water was one summer!

Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area – Pine Tree Forest

On one of my hikes in Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area, I noticed a planted pine tree forest near the lower parking lot. Although this isn’t a typical view that you would think of, I absolutely loved being surrounded by the tall trees and looking down the neat rows. It makes for a great photo-op!
