While staying in Athens, Greece, my friend and I wanted to go on some sort of day trip. After searching on Viator, we chose a boat cruise to the Greek islands of Hydra, Poros and Egina. This trip lasts all day (11 hours), with the boat departing at 7:30 am from the Flisvos Marina in Athens. A Greek lunch is included and served on the boat, along with some Greek music and dancing. We absolutely loved being on the water and exploring three beautiful Greek islands for a day. If you are looking for a day trip from Athens, I highly recommend this boat cruise!
Hydra
The first stop on the boat cruise is Hydra, my favourite island that we visited. Hydra’s port is absolutely stunning. Make sure you explore the narrow cobblestone streets and the adorable shops. As you might be tired from the early start to the day, Isalos Cafe is a great spot to grab a coffee or breakfast. I could sit here and admire the marina for hours!
Poros
The next stop on the boat cruise is the island of Poros. We loved walking along the beautiful harbour, stopping for a cold drink, and checking out the shops.
Egina
Egina is the last stop of the day on the boat cruise. The boat will dock in Agia Marina. Here, there is a beautiful beach and crystal clear waters that we swam in. There are several great beach bars to grab food or a drink. You can also take a guided tour of the Temple of Aphaia at your own expense.
I hope you enjoyed this post and that it inspires you to visit the beautiful Greek islands of Hydra, Poros, and Egina!
