A Guide to Blue Mountain, Ontario

Blue Mountain Ski Resort and Village is a very popular winter destination in Ontario, but I think it’s great to visit any time of the year! The resort is located in The Blue Mountains, a town in southwestern Ontario. I highly recommend visiting if you are looking for an Ontario getaway spot! I hope you enjoy my guide to Blue Mountain, Ontario!

WHAT TO DO

The most popular thing to do in Blue Mountain is to hit the slopes. If you love to ski and/or snowboard, it’s a must when visiting Blue Mountain!

If you’re visiting in winter and the slopes aren’t your thing, enjoy walking about the resort and village, exploring the shops and restaurants. It’s very picturesque! There are also a few spas that would be lovely to enjoy in the winter.

If you’re visiting in warmer months, I highly recommend taking the Open Air Gondola up the mountain. You can also hike, visit the Adventure Park and rent a paddle boat at the pond!

WHERE TO STAY

I’ve stayed in a few different places at Blue Mountain Ski Resort. For a budget-friendly option, Blue Mountain Inn is comfortable but a short drive or shuttle bus ride to the Village. At a higher price point, the Village Suites are a popular option as they are right in the Village. There are a few different lodges to choose from. I stayed at the Grand Georgian and it was lovely! If you’re visiting Blue Mountain with a group, renting a private home just outside the Village is a great option.

WHERE TO EAT

Having a BeaverTail in Blue Mountain is a must – it’s a Canadian staple! Kaytoo Restaurant is my favorite place for drinks all year round because the view is great. Rusty’s at Blue is the place to après-ski. My favorite spots for lunch and dinner are Northwinds Brewpub, Firehall Pizza, and Tholos Restaurant.
