I was lucky enough to visit Boston, Massachusetts on Easter weekend and it was the perfect time to see the city’s cherry blossom trees. Boston is an amazing city and if you can visit during cherry blossom season it is even more special. Here is a list of my favourite places to see cherry blossoms in Boston. Enjoy!
Beacon Hill
One of my favourite areas in Boston and my favourite place to see cherry blossoms in the city is Beacon Hill. This historic neighbourhood is so charming and the pink and white blossoms make it even more beautiful. Don’t forget to stop at Acorn Street – the most photographed street in the United States!
Boston Public Garden
Another of my favourite spots in Boston is Boston Public Garden. The cherry blossoms here are the first that I saw when we drove into the city and I couldn’t wait to go see them! I was not disappointed, it is such a great park to walk around and admire the cherry blossom trees.
Back Bay
Back Bay is the ultimate spot to shop and dine in Boston. I loved walking around this neighbourhood and the abundance of cherry blossom trees made it even more enjoyable. Make sure to walk along Newbury Street!
The Freedom Trail
The Freedom Trail is an infamous walking tour in Boston that brings you to 16 historical sites scattered around the city. At some of the sites, you’ll find beautiful cherry blossom trees. I highly recommend doing a guided or self-guided walking tour of the Freedom Trail – it is a great way to see the city and you will experience more than 250 years of history!

North End
The Freedom Trail will bring you to the North End, a neighbourhood well known for its Italian community and amazing Italian restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised to find some cherry blossoms and magnolia trees around the area. I highly recommend coming here for a stroll and enjoying lunch or dinner at one of the many Italian restaurants!
Charlestown
The Freedom Trail ends in Charlestown, another historic neighbourhood that I loved walking around. Here you’ll find streets lined with cherry blossom trees – simply beautiful!
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
I cannot recommend the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum enough. It is one of the most unique places I’ve ever been to and such an interesting thing to do in Boston – the cherry blossoms out front are an added bonus!
I hope you enjoyed my list of where to see cherry blossoms in Boston!
