Tiffany Falls – Hamilton
Although Tiffany Falls in Hamilton has a very short hiking trail, you will be rewarded by an impressive frozen waterfall in the winter. It is one of my favourite winter spots.
Limberlost Forest – Huntsville
If you have the chance to explore Ontario’s Muskoka region in the winter, visiting Limberlost Forest in Huntsville is a must. For frozen waterfalls and boardwalks, take Buck Lake Trail. Take Solitaire Lake Trail for an epic winter view over the lake.
Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area – Milton
For lovely winter views over Halton, Ontario’s countryside, visit Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area in Milton.
Hilton Falls Conservation Area – Milton

RBG Hendrie Valley Sanctuary – Burlington
The Royal Botanical Garden’s Hendrie Valley Sanctuary is a lovely spot to visit in the winter. The best part is that you can feed the birds (and chipmunks usually but they are hibernating in the winter).
Arrowhead Provincial Park – Huntsville
Another gorgeous winter hiking spot in Ontario’s Muskoka region is Arrowhead Provincial Park in Huntsville. Take the Stubb’s Falls Trail to see an epic waterfall. If you’re up for more of an adventure, you can skate on a trail through the forest!
Lions Valley Park – Oakville
Lions Valley Park in Oakville has a great trail system for winter hiking. My favourite trail runs along the Sixteen Mile Creek.
Kerncliffe Park – Burlington
Kerncliff Park has a lovely boardwalk area and great trails in the forest. Don’t miss the viewpoint overlooking Burlington and Lake Ontario!
Dundas Valley Conservation Area – Hamilton
Dundas Valley Conservation Area has a vast trail system and several beautiful waterfalls – it’s the perfect winter hiking spot!
